You get back to the Keep without encountering any of the dangerous residents of the marshes. You pass the portcullis just in time for lunch. It seems Sir Pellandres was right about being back in time for a feast. You follow the knight and visit a couple of the merchants to get an accurate appraisal of what you found. Due to convincing arguments, his strong personality, his trust-able face and dashing good looks, Sir Pelandres manages to sell the gem encrusted necklace for 1,100 gold pieces! The banker offers you 80 gold coins and 2 silvers and 8 coppers for the ingot which bring your total loot value in coins (apart from the two unidentified potions) to 1,200 gold pieces. Following your bargain with Sir Pelandres you give him 600 gold pieces while you keep the other half to split between the remaining five of you. Saying he's feeling lucky, he says he'd take one of the two potions even without knowing what it is.
Which one do you give him, the blue or the orange one? ((Please discuss in the OOC.))
Your business concluded, Sir Pelandres says that he will report his progress to the Castellan and then retire to his room until his wounds are healed. He estimates that in a week or two he should be fit for battle once again. He tells Adoven that once he's in top shape he will give him the training session they talked about. He then bids you good day and departs.
Your stomachs are grumbling, you are wet, stinking and tired. What do you want to do?
((Go see the Monsters & Treasures thread for your hard-earned XP points.))

Rattlehead
Ok guys, I am going to have a bath and have a very nice dinner and a woman!!
I'm heading to a public place where I can have the nicest room of the area and dinner! I want to ask around about Roldo, where he lives, what's his habits, etc. ((I'm doing that whatever the group chooses to do))

You give the orange vial to Sir Pelandres before he departs.
Roldo is a traveller like yourselves. Ontop of that he just arrived yesterday! He is currently residing in a private room at the Traveler's Inn. Talking to the locals, you learned that he spent the majority of his time visiting the different merchants of the Keep and offering them his wares. Also, it seems he's been pestering the guards about gaining an audience with the Castellan; hoping the lord would be interested in his wares.

A bath and a princely diner will cost you 10 gold pieces each, which includes a nice tip for the comely tavern wench.
Beltyne, upon opening Lombdas' spellbook you realize with horror that the book has suffered from water damage ((sorry the Magical Ziplock of Water Protection is a really rare artifact which I doubt Lombdas had)). The ink on some of the pages has been erased by the swamps greasy waters. Upon casting Read Magic on the book you are relieved that at least two spells have survived intact. The whole procedure of copying them to your own spellbook will take you two days. Once done maybe you can try to sell it to the bank clerk who once was a wizard. He's offering you 30 gold pieces for it.
Mechanics: 1d6 check for Sleep spell 6 (Intact) 1d6 check for Charm Person spell 1 (Ruined) 1d6 check for Read Magic spell 6 (Intact) 1d6 check for Invisibility 3 (Ruined)

I go with Rattlehead.Adoven is pretty sure that everything is fair, he is just double checking with Beltyne. He will leave most of his possessions with Beltyne, and plans on having a good bath, a good meal, and a good woman. He will rest tomorrow

Jamdak
Jamdak also goes for the bath and the princely diner with his companions. Then he will go to rest in his room thinking of how he could spend his remaining 110 gp.

The adventurers all eat a copious diner and rest during the afternoon. They meet again at the tavern during the evening and take a good meal together, washing it down with some ice cold beer ((4 gp for supper + beer + room)). The atmosphere at the tavern is one of celebration. Most of the inhabitants of the Keep are assembled to celebrate Sir Pelandres' victory over the Lizardmen. The locals are intoning hymns in the knight's honor, singing louder and louder as they get drunk and the barkeep is barely able to keep up as he needs to refill tankard after tankard of ale.
Nobody seems to be paying you much attention.
What do you want to do?
((If you want to attempt/do something during the evening just tell me. Otherwise I'll wrap this up and continue the following morning.))
