This is the place where you can discuss Out Of Character (OOC) stuff about the adventure like strategies, ask questions, etc...

I wanted to start something this weekend, even if I'm missing the CS of some players. But first I need to know where you guys are starting from? Anthony said it depends on how well the group member already know each other. He proposes that you all already know one another from previous travels/adventures. This way he would be more confident if you all started by the dungeon's stairs. And I could post you a list of available hirelings. About hirelings, for a quick startup (if we start near the dungeon that mean we don't roleplay the search for hirelings) I use a web tool that gives me a random list of potential candidates. Here's how it works in game: The party may attempt to recruit hirelings/henchmen once per day, by buying drinks at the local tavern, paying for posted notices, and distributing sword-for-hire pamphlets. This costs a base of 5gp. They may also enlist the services of a town crier, increasing the total cost to 10gp. The final variable is the size of the party's location:
- Village or small town
- Large town or city
I would need to know if you hire a town-crier or not and who pays the gold.

Ohhh and as soon as everything is setup here, I'll delete the blog. There's already enough stuff lying around on the net, it doesn't need another dead blog.

I think that the characters know each other from previous small quests, but should start in town at the tavern. This way if we need hirelings we can get them more easily and it gives us a chance to find out what the quest is in a more realistic way. Since we are starting, we might as well start from the beginning!

Yes, it can indeed be good to start from the very beginning. But starting by the stairs jump-starts the game.
I don't mind, that's why I left it for you guys to decide.

Hummm except for Andre, I do not get much responses from the other players. Come on guys, it's only 10 minutes a day!

Then you better go over to Anthony and Mario's desk and slap them! I did all week. But now Anthony's in vacation. Dan left for Percé but he said he'll try to post from there. And I'll have to check with Pat to know where he's at. I hope that once the game starts, people are more hooked and will check the forum/post more frequently. BTW, I recruited a new player, robertsbob. He's my best friend and we go way back (2nd year of elementary school), but I'll be as merciless with him as I'll be with you guys, don't worry. ;D I think he's gonna make a fighter (he rolled 15 strenght). That makes a grand total of 6 adventurers!
