Look guys, I really think you are over reacting ... and it does not please me at all. The only things Fern did, is some harmless comments ... noting more ... no action. So Fern was not out of order with his comments. And yes Anthony, I am taking the game seriously but I am not planning to play my character in a straightjacket or having everybody analyzing each phrase Fern will say to see if it pleases everyone. We often disagree at work and we voice it out loud sometimes but we still work as a team. It is the same thing for my character, he could trust you and you could trust him to venture, but it does not require him to think you are the next best thing after chocolate cake. Having an opinion does mean he is not trustworthy. Maybe he does not like elf ... maybe he trust you all with is life ... or not ... I don’t know yet what my character will be ... I am exploring. But one thing is sure; his best friend will probably be Keltin because he is really easy to get along with.
That being said, if this is a kiddie game where everybody must be goody two-shoes, it is not for me. I got all the nice paladin and cleric I could suffer. If it is my playing style that does not fit your expectation, tell me and Fern will venture alone to another city. If not, drop it and let me play my character the way I want.
Dom, I don’t want to be a pane but I don’t like the turn of things. If this is so world shattering, maybe you should post rules on what NOT to do. I will gladly follow YOUR rules. After all, the last time I checked, YOU were running the game.

Desole, quand j'ai dit OOCly je me suis mal exprimer. Je voulais dire quand meme dans la game thread, sinon ca rend l'histoire dure a lire. Comme ton post decrit les actions de ton personnage tu peux carrement le poster dans la game thread, en eliminant ta premiere ligne.

Well Fern wants to rough up my handicapped guy, shame on you Fern. He answered every questions you asked of him. Also Keltin, be wary of his famous attack "Headbutt To The Balls!". I don't have anything to post right now since I'm waiting for Bob's input in one case and everyone's in the other. Pat, good call trying to get everyone back together. Of course, it might degenerate into an open bar brawl before it happens ;D

Sorry about the confusion in my IC post. What I meant is that Teekan waits for everyone to return to the table before he asks them about what they want to do and about the monastery. Then he goes see Balduin about finding a torch bearer type to look after his mule. I have been behind on some posts because I hadn't realized that other pages have showed up. I thought it would bring me to the last page I had viewed automatically. So when my character asked everyone what we should do for the night, I realized that he was pretty much sitting alone at the table.

Well in theory, Mimosa was still with you at the table

Manos, I think you are over reacting now. When I said seriously, I didn't mean your character had to act like a paladin, I meant you as a player. I don't care how you play your character. What was uncool is you making up things that affects another player's character. You can explore how your character will behave, he can joke around, no problem with that. Just give the others a chance to do the same with theirs. That's all. Didn't mean to ruffle your feathers.

Pat

Dom, I don’t want to be a pane but I don’t like the turn of things. If this is so world shattering, maybe you should post rules on what NOT to do. I will gladly follow YOUR rules. After all, the last time I checked, YOU were running the game. I would prefer to avoid giving hard fast DO THIS - DON'T DO THAT rules for a rolepaying game. That being said, the primary goal of this online endeavour is to have fun. And fun might be more easily attainable in a first adventure by playing a more classic team-based adventure. I do not think the characters needs to be the best pals in the world, but a basic layer of trust between them would simplify things. I know Mario that in general you like a bit of character (not player) adversity, it adds some pizazz in the game. And I know that at the opposite, Anthony enjoys games where he (or his character) can rely on his teammates, where he can trust them with his life. No need to be "Paladins" or goodie-two-shoes, after all a band of ruffians could still trust each other. I try to position myself between both ends. I do not enforce strict friendship between the characters but will suppose that they have a basic trust relation with one another, at least at the start of the game. I do not think that all the players are OK with the possibility that one or more of their teammates might backstab them during the course of play. And again, not that there's anything wrong about it, it's just a different kind of play, one where ideally everyone agreed to play like that before such backstab happens. I would suggest that we start the more classical way and IF at some point YOU the players want a more adversarial type of play, well it will be interesting for me to watch. Referee's Out

I was just discussing the topic Dom had started. It had to do with Xerses' character more than anything else. The Dom asked for opinions, I gave mine. Sorry for upsetting you Manos.

No hard feeling. I already think this is a lot of words for nothing. I did not start the thread; I just followed and replied to other emails. But I am done with it. Next time, I would prefer the moderator (Dom) to deal with me instead of having the other players dissecting my post (My very first post) like a frog. It is a game to have fun. So I suggest to loosen-up and concentrate on posting in the story, not the OOC. There is a good chance Fern will die going down the first steps of the dungeon anyway. So let’s get there ... It is a good day to die. ;D
