Damnagoras
Alright, step back, I'll try to smash it by kicking it. If it doesn't work we'll try another entrance.

Damnagoras attempts to kick in the door and *WHAM!* a mighty kick which makes the doors heave and bend in the centre. Another kick but this time the door resists. A third one makes a long vertical crack in the centre. You think it doesn't need much more before it splits but it also made a lot of noise.
Do you continue forcing the door or do you change your plans? What are the others doing?

Higher ground is behind the cave entrance. So you wouldn't have line of sight on the cavern.

((How much noise did we make so far? Is the element of surprise totally gone? If we make more noise, is there a chance that monsters unrelated to the storyline will be attracted by the noise))

((Anything that is within earshot of the door could definitely hear you banging on it. So yes, if there is something inside the element of surprise is totally lost. The noise you made have probably echoed a bit in the valley if you're lucky it shouldn't have attracted anything.))

((If I don't get any new action from Damnagoras by my next post, I'll assume he finishes ramming the door.))

That's a hard one. If we ram the door and attract them, maybe it is easier to fight them here than to fall in a trap later. But with all the cave openings, if we wait for them here, we may have them coming from all directions.

Damnagoras
Don't worry about the noise, the particularity with caves is that we can't get surrounded by enemies, we'll still have 1 on 1 fights. Plus we're fully trained combattants against poorly trained thieves. And we still have the other option to go to another entrance to get a pre-emptive strike.
((i'll split open this door on my next kick!!))
