The world the adventurers live in is a dangerous place. Small bastions of civilization protect the ordinary man from the beasts that prowl the deep forests, lurk in dark caves or have taken hold of ancient ruins.

Amra: God of battle, courage and warfare. He is depicted as either a black-maned barbarian or as a black panther.
Orcus: Demon god of the underworld. No known cults exist but a number of underground cell worship him.
The Mother: Goddess of agriculture, fertility and marriage. Considered by the city-dwellers as the goddess of the little people. She might, however, count the most followers across all the known world.
The Protector: While most of the major religions hold great power in the cities with their rites, dogmas and grand temples; religion in the borderlands is more loose and not as well defined. As such many followers of Law and Good have taken on the worship of a being named The Protector. It is a general faith into a greater being that exists to oversee, help and protect its faithfuls. It does not have a conventional hierarchal church like most of the other religions do, relying more on travelling or local priest devoted to its worship and the aid of their community. A common saying among the folks of the borderlands is "Maybe The Mother and The Protector be with you.".
Typhon: God of judgment, discipline and law. A vengeful god worshipped by many so-called "noble" despots. His church his well-implanted in all major cities. His emblem is a white upright iron gauntlet holding (some would say crushing) a law scale on blue background.
Set: One of the god of the underworld. His only known temple is located in the City of Vultures where he is followed by a powerful cast of Necromancers.
Vaegon: Patron of merchants, businessmen and money-changers. Popular in the merchant city of Caladan where the merchant-guild holds the reins of the city. Some believe that his church has ties with the smugglers ring and some of its worshipers are willing to do anything to conclude a deal.
Xoth: The "lawful" god of the dead. Its cleric are dedicated at eradicating undead as they are seen as having escaped Xoth's judgment. They are prepared to burn whole villages if they believe them to be bastions of Orcus or Set worshippers. The priests of Xoth look often sickly with their flesh a pale grey and their head and eyebrows shaved.
Yezud: The spider god. Well implanted in a number of cities, the Yezudites are extremely well organized and structured. When one of their temples is built in a new location, the other cults often fear their influence and power. The spiders' main temple is located in the Scarlet Citadel. There are, however, rumours that they are not in good terms with the citadel's Red Priest.
Yig: Serpent god worshipped by sects of assassins around the world. None are safe from his worshippers once a contract has been put on their head. Though assassins are his main worshippers, some clerics have been known to follow Yig. Typically these rare individuals change their physical appearance to resemble the image of their god in order to show their devotion; filing their teeth and slitting their tongues are the ultimate changes made by some to show their extreme devotion. The role of these few chosen ones is to mark the target of the most sacred contracts. Though few people can escape from one of Yig's assassins, it is said that once someone is marked by a cleric of Yig, the only thing left to do for the victim is to make peace with his gods.

The Keep on the Borderlands: One of the last bastion of civilization in the west of the northern hemisphere of the Known World.
Threshold: Called the gates of the wilds. An important town at the center-west of the northern hemisphere.
Tashal: Located on the northeastern shore of the great interior sea, the grand city of Tashal is the seat of one of the most powerful kingdom of the Known World. Housing tens of thousands of inhabitants it is only dwarfed in size by the Scarlet Citadel. Thought it tries to present itself as a beacon of Law and Good, the city has its fare share of corrupted politicians, manipulating cults and dangerous alleys.
Barrowcrest: The village of Barrowcrest lays two days march west of Threshold. The main tavern in town is called The Brazen Strumpet. The village rests at the northern edge of the Barrowmoor, a vast fetid bog. The Barrowmoor is dotted with burial mounds, said to be all that remains of an ancient civilization.
Caladan: One of the major city of the northern hemisphere. Has a major port on the ocean and his ruled by the council of Merchant Princes.
The Scarlet Citadel: The biggest city of the known lands. Located in the southern hemisphere, it has a tropical humid climate (think jungle of India). It is under the rulership of the Red Priest, an enigmatic masked figure in red robes.
The City of Vultures: The southernmost city of the Known lands. Mostly ruins. Homes of Necromancers and many dark cults, including the only remaining official temple dedicated to Set. It is commonly said by people that have traveled there that it is safer underneath the city than in its open streets.
