Hilgrim, Elddyn and Popakee wake up the following morning in the temple dedicated to the farming deity Faelon. Next to them, grinding is axe on the pristine marble floor, is the dwarf Turghar. He says that having no money he had nothing better to do than wait for you to wake up.
You slowly stand up and quickly realizes that you can barely walk. Two acolytes enter the room and explain to you that the priest kindly brought you back from death's door but that any additional services would require a donation of some sort.
They then inform you about the latest events in the village: "Witnesses at the market square have confirmed that you were invited by Nantwin to the mill to help him with some problems. The city guards have found Thorkell in the back room of the mill's cellar. He was dead and partly eaten by three giant centipedes. One guard died fighting the insects. Also, the miller's murderer was arrested yesterday and is currently locked up at the barrack. May Faelon piss on his soul for what he has done to our brave Nantwin."
You start getting dressed up and assess the situation. Do you want to request further healing from the priests in exchange for a donation? Or do you leave the temple and decide on your next plan of action?

Why do everybody always have to wake me up... I was so comfortable with Elanda...
As Hilgrim struggles to get his clothes on by fighting the pain throughout his body, he slowly realizes the extent of the situation.
Looking at the void in front of him, he says mostly to himself: Thorkell is dead... By all Gods, how did this happen... We should've been able to kill these rats with our bare hands. I suppose that luck was not on our side...
Turning his head to look at the others, he says: I suppose the others are dead? Where's Teekan?

I am sorry for your loss. I came to help, and when the situation seemed under control, I left because no one told me you were trying to rescue your friend Thorkell. That Seredoc fellow even insulted me when I asked the question. I heard he also shot one of you in the back! He got what he deserved. I think the rest of us could make a good team, maybe with a couple more, and when you are all feeling better, we could adventure together. I am sure there is treasure out there, and I need some coin for food and drink. Are you guys missing anything? Did you recover your companions' belongings? I heard that this Mordecai fellow was looting your fallen comrades, he is in prison now.

((Alright enough with this crap!))
I have witnesses! Go ask the people who where unconscious at the mill! Ask them if if saving three men balances out killing one accidentaly... And i repeat ACCIDENTALLY!
((If the guards do not pay direct attention to him, mordecai will start rattling the cage bars with anything that he can find like a mug, trying to as much of a prick as he can in order to grasp they're full attention.))

What do you mean by "the miller's murderer was arrested"? Nantwin died also? This must be a misunderstanding because nobody was there to kill Nantwin. We were there to help! Who can we talk to in order to clarify the situation?
Hilgrim barely gets to stand up and notices how weak he is. So many deads in just a couple of days. There's really a bad karma on the city... or on me...
Hey, you dwarf, what is your name and what brings you to the city?

Turghar introduces himself to Hilgrim and explains we he has gathered of the current situation. Hilgrim gathers his belongings, thanks the priests and leave for the barrack with the rest of the group in tow.
He enters the barrack, asks for Captain Starke and attempts to explain him what really happened. Nantwin coming to you for help, the giant rats in the cellar, the accident with Mordecai and Seredoc's unfortunate mishap with Elddyn. The Captain listens to the testimonies of the adventurers but still isn't convinced saying that apart from you he does not know any of your companions or if they can be trusted.
He looks at Hilgrim and tell him "Listen boy, I know you and I know you are a good lad. But you don't even know the man, he could have seized the opportunity when he saw it." He takes a pause and adds. "Tell you what, you give me the location to the hobgoblin camp. We keep anything we find there even your old companions' stuff. And in exchange I pay the clerics of the temple to be able to speak with the only one in this whole business who saw the whole thing and can't lie. Seredoc."

((Don't forget me! I want to be healed... 1 HP is not enough for this crew!))
Elddyn is willing to bargain with the monks for a complete healing. What's it gonna be, monks?

Guys, I don't know what this hobgoblin thing is, but this sounds like a pretty good deal. What about what I talked about before? Do you want to join me on an adventure? I think we can make a good team.

((Everyone except Graveshroud is at the barrack. I need input from Hilgrim since he's the only one that knows about the hobgoblins. After that you can all do as you wish. If the others wish to leave to do some shopping/drinking/other preparations you can leave and post it now or wait after the resolution of the Mordecai's case.))
