Look, either we all go as one group, or I go scout. Two groups does not really help us. We don't have to be bunched together, but if we get surrounded, one group will be able to defend itself better. If I go scout, well I can hide better alone, if I get caught, the rest of the group can rescue me. What do you think?

Listening at the endless discussion.
Wooo, slowdown a bit. We are here to get fast and easy gold coins, not to get killed or loose Teekan in the stupid venture. The real treasure is at Akban, this is where we should risk it. So, I agree with Keltin; don’t be fooled by the monkey face, ... smiling at his friend ... the fellow has a brain and good judgment with that. We should wait to see if they come out and don’t forget I can put some of them to sleep if they get close to me. ((100 feets))
After all, I am the goblin ... eh ..... expert

Fine, let's stay here in the rain waiting until night fall, with no shelter. Then we will not see anything, soaking wet, relatively in the open, perfect for being ambushed. And it looks like we will be eating cold food tonight! Teekan stays on the look-out, searching the woods for movement. He leaves the job of checking the watchtower to Keltin and Fern. He doesn't really know what Morstad or Mimosa are thinking (or doing), and assumes that Firali is also on the look-out.

Keltin laughs, "The little sneaky one go. We need to be sure it's not empty and we do all this for nothing. We, as species, don't like to stand in the rain. Now if the halfling is afraid to go, I can provide some cover with my bow but really, it won't be much help unless they charge out. What do you think?"
Keltin doesn't specify what species he's talking about.

As everybody from the group argues about how to split or wait for the sun to come down, Kughor, who's on his knees in the cold sticky mud, holds on to his crossbow very tightly and ponders on the eventual possibilities...
That tower looks big enough to hide 50 to 100 hobgoblins. At 10 Goldies a head, that means up to 20000 Gold coins! ((assuming the Kughor is not that good at maths...)). I could take at least half of them myself and get more than half the Gold... My "only" problem will be to carry back all these heads...
He whispers loudly back to the others: I'm starting to be tired of waiting here. I say we charge. Nobody can shoot something that reaches one of the windows? I bet we can kill 3 of them in a shot...

Let us be done with this foolishness and go to the tower now. I am tired of this rain.

The group finally agrees that Teekan should go and scout the tower while Keltin will try to give cover from his long bow ((shoots at -2 since the tower is at one range increment of your long bow)). The others keeping Khugor for barging in.
Teekan advances, a hand on the pommel of his short sword, crouched low across the clearing, his cloak masking him as a blur among the rain drops.
Teekan, you reach the front wall of the tower, near the barricade. You stand by the entrance and hold your breath a moment but don't hear anything through it ((just so you know, listening at doors is roll I made in secret)).
What do you do?

Teekan moves toward the closest arrow slit/window/hole in the wall while being as quite as possible. He will attempt to look inside. If there is an obstruction, he will attempt to find another hole to look into. All the while, he is listening for noise. If he sees something, but he is not seen, he will sneak back to the group to report. If he is seen, he runs back to the group in a bit of a zig-zag fashion.

((I now realize my image is mistaking. In my opening text I said that there were no windows but the image shows multiple. Guess I shouldn't have used this image. I suppose this changes your action, so feel free to post them again. BTW, apart from your bigger clanking items, you have your backpack with you. Noises being covered a bit by the rain, you felt confident sneaking with it.))

(( My more clanky items are on Daisy, my pack has the essentials, mostly weapons, rope, torch, a few rations, etc. You said part of the structure was crumbled, and that there was a boarded door, right? I try to look into any available opening, not necessarily a window. If that doesn't work, then can I climb the rubble to look inside? ))
