((Actually "the caller" would be a better term. In old school D&D, players often mandated someone to speak for the group. Adoven(( I don't think it should be my character, he would definitely come-up with some way of getting us all killed )) Nah come on, you're character isn't a dwarf created by Pierre after all. ))

Lombdas
OK guys! Enough kidding around now. It's late and I need to to get some sleep. I leave at sunrise for the Caves the day after tomorrow. This will let you gather up every thing you need if you want to join me. There's going to be some improvisation so if you like to venture in an ordered fashion, you're going to be hoping that you stayed at your mama's home under her skirt! If you want to be kept on your toes and have the feeling that your going to die at every minute, you come here and join me to conquer the Caves! Have a good night.
On his last word, Lombdas turns around and heads off to the Inn to crash and sleep in his bed.
Tomorrow, I'll try to find someone who know how to approach the Caves...

You all spend a quiet and comfortable night at the Traveler's Inn (1.5gp each for private rooms and a breakfast).
You go out after breakfast in a bright morning sunshine. You all gather at the fountain ready to take on today's tasks. On the other side of the fountain you hear two locals talking. "Well I say, if the Castellan would deign send his soldiers to get rid of the lizardmen in the fens, we would have boats and barges coming down the river again." The other answers "Can't say I'm disagreeing with you. It would help us get supplies more often than once per month which would help us civilize the region. It would also make travels in and out of this damn keep faster."

As you are still discussing what to do, you see a group of soldiers with corporal Kelth in front leading a tall helmed man in plate mail riding a splendid white stallion. He bears a white tower symbol on his shield and a long white cape floats behind him. The locals gather around the procession which crosses the gate into the inner bailey. The guards stops you and the locals as the convoy go inside. It seems an important guest as arrived to see the Castellan.
A couple of hours later the stranger exits the inner bailey on his warhorse without escort and dismounts near the inn and tavern. Stepping up on the fountain's base he hails the inquisitive crowd now rapidly gathering around him. "Citizens of the Keep! I, am Sir Pelandres, knight of the white tower. Envoy from the kingdom of Tashal to cement the friendship that link my Prince to the Castellan. I have put myself at the disposition of the Castellan which has affected me to deal with the lizardmen problem that has plagued the commerce and inhabitants of the Keep. I am seeking brave souls, who will dare defy chaos and evil to bring justice to the land. Is there any such courageous warriors amongst you?" as he finishes his sentence he draws his polished longsword and makes a half circle pointing in front of him at the crowd.

Sir Pelandres sheathes his sword and gives a good look at the adventurers. After a moment he says "Pleasure to meet you Beltyne and Lombdas Sparrowvine. Is the rest of your companions mute? Will they not present themselves? In any case, before we set off I must make something clear. For this mission you will be under my direct command. I will not be your companion but your superior. You will follow my orders to the letter. For your services we will split any found treasure fairly: one half for your group and one half for me. Are these conditions agreeable to all of you?"
