I was not going to say anything, but I am glad you brought this up. I think that reacting to inner thoughts as if you can read minds and using knowledge that your character does not know is wrong and should not be permitted. - How does Fern know what Firali is drinking? - How does Fern know what Firali is doing at the bar? Firali simply went from one side of the room to the bar and sat down. - Why does Fern think that Firali will do something with/to/about the man in black? When my character observes his environment he acts according to what he has heard, seen and felt (ie slap, punch, tugging at clothes, etc). He does not react, talk about or do anything based on another persons inner thoughts.

Just a clarification. From what I understand, all the characters are very good and close friends. So Fern should know Firali very well. Enough to know he is a tea drinker. Other people may not notice but Fern may anticipate Firali possible intensions from his behaviour because he saw him act several times in the past. It is not inner thoughts, it is body language. Of course, Mario the player read the italic to figure out the body language. It all depends how well we know each other. Is this the case or not That being said, I should not have tagged a template of loose cannon on your character (My bad) It is just that Mario the player know André the player long enough to know that all the D&D characters he played in the past were loose cannon. This was a mistake. Sorry As for referring to something that may have happened in the past, I did not thought it was a big deal since it will not affect the future in any way. But I will not do it anymore. Maybe Fern is racist and has is concern with elfs

What's up folks!
I'm not gonna add to the Fern debate but I would like to tell you more about my online RP'ing. Where I come from, there were no inner thoughts we could read so everything you wanted people to read came from the way your character act. Italics just make this concept easier, I think it's fun to actually see what a character thinks but it sure can get touchy if you think it wasn't supposed to show. In a real game, you would see your buddies reactions live and act accordingly and even without the inner monologue, you would deduct the clear meaning of his actions. So a word of caution, just don't say everything your character thinks if it's important for you not to have other characters know.
That being said, I'm still waiting for Dom to update the scene for me to post again!!

Yes ... let’s forget about inner thought ... Where is the one arm man Dom is talking about all the time? ..... Should be easy to spot, unless it is the "One arm man" tavern and there is 20 of them.... I would also be fine with a one leg man if it is easier

Hi guys, and hi robertsbob, glad to have you along. I had not noticed that there were many pages already. Every time I clicked, I was still on the first page. So I have been a little behind on the posts. I agree with Dom and the others, Fern was a little out of order with his comments. I would like him to take the game a little more seriously, and take into account that we are a team of friends going on an adventure, not a bunch a guys trying to put each other down to have an edge over them. That being said, I hope we can get along. So far (other than this incident), I enjoy the format. It is nice to read, it feels like a story. It also gives me time to think and phrase what my character is doing. But I think we should state our objectives, (maybe in the OOC discussion) and try to stick to them so that we can get things moving along? What do you think?

Going camping this weekend, so I won't be able to post. I told Dom what I would like to accomplish in case the situation comes up.
I want to hire someone to look out for my mule, if I can't find anyone, I'll leave her in town (maybe I can make an arrangement at the monastery). Before we leave for the dungeon, I want to ask at the monastery to see if they have books (papers) on Akban and his dungeon, maybe some old floor-plans (maps), or a list of treasures, ....
Also, I prefer to write in english, but I was under the impression that most of you were going to play in french. So far all is in english. I can read french no problem, so feel free to express yourselves in your language of preference. (Unless Dom wants this to be english only?)

Suggestions, commentaires... Ne vous gênez pas.

Anthony, I'm not too sure about your two IC posts. One says you're going to see Balduin and the second one that you are waiting for the others to come back. I'll go with the second one for now or until I get an update from you.

Also updated the town of Brem thread with new details about the village. If you see a thread a the top of the screen, go check it out even if it says that the last post is a while back. An edit of an old post does not update its post date.
