((@khugor))
The man in black answers: Why I'm here is my own business. But if you need help with something, depending on what it is, my purse could always use more coins. Keep on talking, dwarf.

Kughor does a quick scan of his surroundings to make sure that nobody apart Firali overhears his discussion.
He advances a little toward the man in black and speaks quietly: I may be soon enough finding myself with more coins that I could handle. My problem is that there may be some "difficulties" getting to them... If you know want I mean... Let's say that an additional blade could help in filling your purse... and mine. If you're interested, I could present you to some friends of mine and give you more details.

He slowly nods and after a thoughtful pause adds, "OK, let's go see what you and your friends have to offer." He stands down from his bar stool and now stands at his full height (close to two meters). You can now clearly see that the man his well muscled underneath his black tunic. He lowers his blue eyes toward Khugor and says "Oh and by the way, the name's Morstad."

Seeing that Kughor has things well under control at the bar, Fern decided to follow the crippled man to the back room.
Keltin, I will have a little conversation with the half-portion in the back room, stay here to keep my back. Give me 2 minutes, if I am not out by then come and get me ... and stop spitting on the floor; you almost caught the poor man in the face.
Walking slowly, Fern follows the little man on wheel to the back door and opens it for him.
Yo mister, you are really fast on your … wheel. I did not have the time to tip you properly. Throwing 2 silver pieces in his cart as he speaks. With the job you have and the … perspective … from which you see the world, I am sure you learned a thing or two about what is going on around here. Maybe we could help each other? As he speaks, Fern is playing with a gold piece in his hand. Are you interested?

Keltin plays it cool beside Fern while the mage talks, which means he gets all fidgety, scratches things you're not supposed to scratch in public and starts to chew on his dirty fingernails. "Sure, go ahead Fern, I'll be right beside.", he says while holding the back door open to casually watch over Fern's business and be sure to keep in a ear shot of the conversation.
((Keltin trusts Fern, don't doubt that, he just doesn't trust his mouth.))

As Fern opens the door for him, the man in the tray lifts his head up and looks at Fern straight in the eyes. "Whut! You think I can't open a gods damn door by meself. Or you're coming to help me with the dishes... Hope your friend has some spit left then."
As he listens to Fern he pockets the two silver pieces and rubs his chin with a dubious look in his eyes. But as soon as the wizard starts playing with the gold piece he shifts his gaze to stare intensely at it. After a couple of seconds he finally adds: "Is that gold?!? Give it to me and I'll tell ya all ya wanna know."
((I'll try something different here. Tell me all you want to know OOCly (but still in this thread) and I'll make a post about the answers resuming the conversation. If everyone prefer to see it full length I can do that also. In any case don't forget to remove 1gp and 2 sp from your inventory.))

((This is what Fern said to the cripple man.))
First, Fern (Who does not name himself) makes up a story about his friend Kevin (not using real name), the one with the monkey face, having lost his girl to a better looking guy. He also tells him the girl ran with his friend's money and that they plan to get it back. The fugitives were last seen going toward a place name Aklan … Arkban or Akran.
Fern misspells the name intentionally to see if the crippled man really knows about the place. Only if he does, Fern gives him the gold piece and ask the following questions:
• Is the place far from here? • Should they expect trouble going there? • What does he know about Akban, legends, rumours and facts? • Did anybody else ask about Akban lately? If so, who are they? • Does he know somebody who went there and back?
Out of curiosity, he also asks him his name and how he got that way. Other question may follow depending on the first responses.

As Fern tells his tall tale about Keltin, money and lost girlfriend the wheeled man looks progressively more and more annoyed. He cuts Fern in the middle of his talk and shouts: "Oh cut the crap already! You wanna know everything about the dungeon of Akban? Whut? You thought you poor bastards were the first to discover it or know about how to enter it? Nah, everyone knows about the place, it's juste that no one has ever come back from it so it's not something that we talk openly about.
He then proceeds to answer the various questions Fern asked him. He says his name is Kenrick Madson but everyone call him Will, very funny he says. He once was an adventurer like you, but a minotaur cleaved him off of his two legs and he was forced to retire. "Not before I plucked one of the beast's eye out with one of my crossbow bolts. HAHA!"
You learn that the dungeon of Akban is about three or four hours of travel through the woods north west of Brem. Monsters are known to roam the outskirt of the farmlands so any traveler should proceed with caution. At multiple occasions he mentions that it is a place of evil and that only the foolish would risk their skin and try to enter the ruins. "It is the home of a nameless cult who worship a forgotten god. If you do come back, you'll bear their curse till ya die."
He takes the gold piece from Fern and looks satisfied with himself. "Now unless ya have more gold for me, go away! I have work to do."
He then mumbles something about getting some titties with the money you gave him.

You are a funny man. For a piece of gold you are telling me the obvious. I don’t need you to figure out the place is dangerous and fill with deadly creatures. I thought you would know a lot more for a midget who literally put his nose in other people affairs. The way I see it, I already paid for information I did not get. I was ready to give you 5 more silver for you to keep quiet about our conversation but I already give you too much. This was easy money and you screw it up. If it is true everybody in town knows about Akban, I don’t need you. I think we are done.
I am sure this half-portion know a lot more than that!
Bluffing, Fern said:
But you know what is even funnier. This piece of gold you have in your hand is not mine. It belongs to my friend, the one with the good manners. Maybe you can explain the situation to him.
Getting out of the back store, making sure the cripple man ear but keeping is voice low and winking at Keltin, Fern say:
I got nothing for your money. Do you want to thank the gentleman for his help?
Without saying more, Fern walked away.

Morstad heah? I'm Kughor. Follow me.
As Kughor gets down of his stool, he stretches his neck up to get a good look at Morstad. Looks like he could handle himself. I really hope that Keltin's ear is not wrong when he drinks beer... I'd rather having this guy with me than against...
As he turns around to face his party's table, he notices that his group has "dispersed" in the tavern. What are they up to?... He gives a small node to Firali next to him. It's OK Firali, get the others around our table, I want us to meet Morstad here.
He then walks back towards the table.
